Site Down-time

a database update put the rathercurious site offline for many months.

I have not fully tracked down the fault (it occurs from a call in menu.php) and, frankly, have not had the time in recent months to given any attention to this site.

the problem manifested itself by a refusal of the admin site to load. Instead I got the message ‘You do not have permission to …’.

So I have finally taken the plunge and stubbed out the function causing the problem, exported the site data and reinstalled on a fresh WP 3.01 installation using mysql.

I have not given up at all on PDO for WP, nor on the sqlite driver. I am sure there will be a free week or so sometime during which I can have another look at it.

Please please please, keep working on is wonderful plugin.

I run WordPress on a low-end VPS which has 128M memory, and your plugin is a must for my site if I don’t want MySQL to bring the system on its knees. Plus, it is so easy to backup the whole site by simply copying the directory.

My blog is running WP3.0 with your plugin and the only issue I am aware of is that the older comments and posts are not shown under navigation.

For example, I have about 40 posts in a category, but when I click on it, it only shows the latest ones and there is no way I can bring out the older ones with “older posts’ navigation.

When you have time, please take a look at my site and you will see that it is like.

Thank you and I hope I will celebrate when the next release is published.
