Children in need

I feel compelled to write this. To express in some tiny way the awe I feel for the Children in Need movement in the UK.

Sir Terry Wogan is phenomenal. A consummate presenter through the ages, a scion of British talent and a bastion of straightforward decency. He’s a true British hero and fully deserving of the accolades he has received.

But the real stars of the event are those who contribute their time. the Dragon’s Den crew giving up 3 days of their collective time to contribute, to mention but one set.

and of all, what really makes me proud to be British is the huge, multi-faceteted and non-manufactured talent that exists in the UK, the compassion and bravery of individuals, the stoicism, the British upper lip (whether stiff or otherwise).

Well done indeed boys and girls. For what it counts, I am sincerely proud of you.

I’m having trouble with your plugin PDO. What I get it’s just an error saying:

One or more database tables are unavailable. The database may need to be repaired.

I already set the permissions, so I don’t know what else to do.

Terry is a national institution of many decades’ standing.
He’s Irish by birth but is dual nationality with Britain and predominantly works in the UK.
