WP 2.3.2 and PDO For WordPress

whilst i was on hols, the WP team released an ‘urgent’ security release. See here for the announcement.

quite how a release like this is ‘urgent’ after nearly three months has passed since the previous release, is beyond me.

the WP team have taken a bit of a liberty with the release too – there are many many changes involved that have nothing to do with the referenced security hole.

long short and tall of it is that there are likely to be issues with the PDO for WP code until I can update the core db.php file to mirror the new functions in the revised wp-db.php script.

I’ll post a ‘security update’ code release in the next couple of days.

Hello,
I’m new to WP and I intend to use postgres. My searches drive me to here. How can I get the pdo port to WP?
Thanks,
Ely

Hello Ely

I’m due to publish the next version of PDO for WordPress later today. It’s compatible with WP 2.5.1.

I will publish the download link in the blog as I won’t be hosting it here but on the WP Plugins page instead.
